“Tea Party”
Мета : поглибити знання учнів про
вподобання англійців, перевірити знання учнів з тем « Погода», «Їжа»,
«Тварини», «Будинок», розвивати навички усного мовлення, мовну здогадку, виховувати інтерес до
вивчення англійської мови.
Обладнання: відео,
картки із завданнями, чай, печиво, цукерки.

It’s connected with
English tradition to drink tea. Englishmen don’t like only to have tea but also
they enjoy to talk, discuss different things while drinking it. Tea is the third meal of the day. It is between 4
or 5 o'clock, the so-called 5 o'clock tea. On the table there is tea, milk or cream, sugar, bread and butter,
cakes and jam.
But we are not going
only to drink tea but have a talk about favourite English topics.

conversation in England starts with the discussion of the weather. For
example, “Nice day today!” It’s well
known that Englishmen complain on their weather because it’s very changeable,
it’s rainy and foggy. Read a poem.

Task
2. Now, your task is to describe today weather in a written form.
Englishmen
like to have a good meal. The usual time for dinner is about 7 o'clock, and all the members of the
family sit down together. Dinner usually consists of soup, fish or meat with
vegetables – potatoes, green beans, carrot and cabbage, sweet pudding, fruit
salad, ice-cream or cheese and biscuits. Then after a talk they have black or
white coffee.So…
Task3. Find the names of British food

Task4. Complete the words and match them with the pictures (додаток 4).
Task5. Give children advice what they should or shouldn’t eat.
British people like animals very much. Many of them have pets and look
after these animals like after children.
Task6. Listen and guess the riddles about animals ( додаток 7).
Task7. Read the sentences and say True or False (додаток 3)
Task8. In the forest we can see many different traces of animals. I have
mixed all letters, put them in the correct order to find the animal (додаток 5)
Our last topic will be about English houses. They like them very. They
say “My home is my castle”. They spend a lot of money and free time to upgrade
their places of living. Of course they keep their houses clean. Do you tidy up
the room?
