Narrator: Once upon a time there lived a little princess. Her name was Emily. She was lazy. She didn’t like reading and going to school. And she didn’t like to do her homework. She had a mother, and a father…

Виходять король і королева.

Narrator: And a Fairy God-mother.

Виходить фея.

King: Good afternoon, my child!

Princess: Hi, Daddy.

Queen: Good afternoon, dear!

Princess: Hi, Mum.

Fairy: Hello, Emily.

Princess: Hello, hello.

King: How are you today?

Princess: Terrible!

Queen: Oh, why?

Princess: I don’t want to clean my teeth! I don’t want to drink this milk and eat these cakes! I don’t want to go to school!

Fairy: And what do you want?

Princess: I want to get my Christmas presents right now!

King: What presents do you want to get?

Princess: New dress, dolls, and cars, and…

King: But you have got many dolls!

Queen:  And cars!

Fairy:  And toys!

Princess: Sweets, a dog, a cat…Here you are, father! (Принцеса віддає Королю величезний список  подарунків.)

Король, Королева і Фея ідуть. З’являється Снігова Королева одягнена у плащ.

Tea Party

“Tea Party”

Мета : поглибити знання учнів про вподобання англійців, перевірити знання учнів з тем « Погода», «Їжа», «Тварини», «Будинок», розвивати навички усного мовлення,  мовну здогадку, виховувати інтерес до вивчення англійської мови.

Обладнання: відео, картки із завданнями, чай, печиво, цукерки.

Let’s have a tea party today.

It’s connected with English tradition to drink tea. Englishmen don’t like only to have tea but also they enjoy to talk, discuss different things while drinking it. Tea is the third meal of the day. It is between 4 or 5 o'clock, the so-called 5 o'clock tea. On the table there is  tea, milk or cream, sugar, bread and butter, cakes and jam.

But we are not going only to drink tea but have a talk about favourite English topics.

         Welcome to our party. We have two teams. Let’s have fun!

         Each conversation in England starts with the discussion of the weather. For example, “Nice day today!”  It’s well known that Englishmen complain on their weather because it’s very changeable, it’s rainy and foggy. Read a poem.

When the weather is bad

We must not be sad

When the weather is cold

We must be told.

When the weather is warm

We must be in a good form

And be thankful together

Whatever the weather .

Відкриття декадника англійської мови 2017

13 березня відбулося урочисте відкриття декадника англійської мови.

Лінійка традиційно розпочалася з виконання Гімну України.

Учні 3 класу продемонстрували можливості, які надає людині вивчення англійської мови. Герої популярних англійських творів Шерлок Холмс, Гаррі Поттер, Мері Поппінс розповіли про свої методи оволодіння іноземною  мовою. Королева Великобританії Єлизавета ІІ зачитала наказ учням школи розмовляти тільки англійською мовою, читати книги і слухати пісні іноземною мовою.

Учениця 2 класу Анна Мілвей майстерно прочитала вірш ”Sick”. Учні 4 класу заспівали запальну пісню ”Hands in the air” і закликали школярів стати активними учасниками тижня та побажали незабутніх вражень під час його проведення!!!

Shakespeare day

14 грудня 2016 року оголосили  Днем англійської мови ”Shakespeare  Day”.

Учителі англійської мови нашої школи провели цікаві, різноманітні заходи,  підготуали театральні постановки, присвячені пам’яті видатного поета та драматурга Великобританії –  Вільяма Шекспіра. Учні презентували сценки з п’єс англійською мовою. 

У 10 класі (вчителі Іщук А.П., Костюкович О.П.) відбувся англійський літературний фестиваль ”In the World of Shakespeare’s Life and Work”. Учні розповідали про життя видатного поета, декламували його сонети, інсценізували уривки з  п’єс.

Учні 9 класу (вч. Лебедюк В.В., Грекул Л.В.) провели комунікативну вікторину ”Shakespeare is Immortal” з елементами інсценізації п’єси „Ромео і Джульєта”.  

Учні 8 класу (вчителі Бондар І.В. та Полех Е.Д.) подорожували визначними місцями, пов’язаними з ім’ям  Вільяма Шекспіра.

Учитель 7 класу Ткачук А.О. разом зі своїми учнями драматизувала уривки з трагедії   ”Macbeth”.

Учні 11 класу (вчителі Трибущук Л.В., Павлюк Т.Ф.) організували засідання інтелектуального кафе “Shakespeare’s Idioms”.

Учні 6 класу (вчителі Кінас О.В., Шмарчук Н.С., Вареник М.С.) провели  цікаву зустріч у літературному кафе “The Best Shakespeare’s Works”, на якій декламували відомі сонети, уривки з творів.

Учні 5 класу (вчителі Прислупська К.С., Костюкович А.П.) створили проект про життя і творчість видатного поета.

Тиждень англійської мови

Шекспір – невичерпний, як море...

Міністерство освіти і науки України спільно з Британською Радою в Україні та громадською ініціативою ”GoGlobal” у рамках заходів, присвячених Року англійської мови в Україні, оголосили проведення всеукраїнського "Тижня англійської мови" 12-18 грудня 2016 року.

В  рамках тижня англійської мови в Україні,  у 2 класі (вчителі Федорчук О.В., Лебедюк В.В., Боровець С.М.) було проведено виховний захід “In a Family Circle”, під час якого учні  розповіли про свої сімейні традиції та презентували дерева родоводу.

Учні 3-4 класу  (вчителі Огороднічук Л.П., Бурдіна Л.О., Антонюк В.К.) організували інтелектуально-розважальну гру ”Favourite Holidays and Celebrations”. Діти старанно виконували завдання та щиро раділи маленьким перемогам.

English Poetry Recitation Contest

У вівторок, 15 листопада, учні школи „Центр надії” взяли участь у шкільному конкурсі English Poetry Recitation.

Протягом години учні читали вірші англійських поетів іноземною мовою. Таке поетичне читання пройшло у рамках  року англійської мови в Україні.

Декламували відомі вірші Джорджа Байрона, Вільяма Шекспіра, Генрі Девіса, Вільяма Блейка, Роберта Бернса, Елізи Фолен. Особливо майстерно і емоційно прочила вірш Генрі Девіса “Leisure” учениця 9 класу Кім Чемерик . Серед молодших школярів найкращим декламатором була Анна-Луїза Мілвей з віршом  Шел Сільверстейн “Sick”. Учениця 7 класу Федорчук Валерія талановито прочитала Сонет 130 Вільяма Шекспіра.

Цей чудовий захід дав учням нашої школи можливість самовиразитися, проявитися, почути і бути почутим. Адже кожен з читців-декламаторів, обираючи автора чи поезію, зупинився саме на тому, що йому було близько по духу та світосприйняттю. А ще, це хороша нагода популяризувати англійських поетів і поезію.

Halloween, the last day of October, has a special significance for children, who dress in funny or ghostly costumes and knock on neighborhood doors shouting "Trick or Treat!" Pirates and princesses, ghosts and witches all hold bags open to catch the candy or other goodies that the neighbors drop in. Since the 800's November 1st is a religious holiday known as All Saints' Day. The Mass that was said on this day was called Allhallowmas. The evening before became known as All Hallow e'en, or Halloween. Like some other American celebrations, its origins lie in both pre-Christian and Christian customs.
Today school dances and neighborhood parties called "block parties" are popular among young and old alike. More and more adults celebrate Halloween. They dress up as historical or political figures and go to masquerade parties. In larger cities, costumed children and their parents gather at shopping malls early in the evening. Stores and businesses give parties with games and treats for the children. Teenagers enjoy costume dances at their schools and the more outrageous the costume the better! Certain pranks such as soaping car windows and tipping over garbage cans are expected. But partying and pranks are not the only things that Halloweeners enjoy doing. Some collect money to buy food and medicine for needy children around the world.
Symbols of Halloween Halloween originated as a celebration connected with evil spirits. Witches flying on broomsticks with black cats, ghosts, goblins and skeletons have all evolved as symbols of Halloween. They are popular trick-or-treat costumes and decorations for greeting cards and windows. Black is one of the traditional Halloween colors, probably because Halloween festivals and traditions took place at night. In the weeks before October 31, Americans decorate windows of houses and schools with silhouettes of witches and black cats. Pumpkins are also a symbol of Halloween. The pumpkin is an orange-colored squash, and orange has become the other traditional Halloween color. Carving pumpkins into jack-o'-lanterns is a Halloween custom also dating back to Ireland. A legend grew up about a man named Jack who was so stingy that he was not allowed into heaven when he died, because he was a miser. He couldn't enter hell either because he had played jokes on the devil. As a result, Jack had to walk the earth with his lantern until Judgment Day. The Irish people carved scary faces out of turnips, beets or potatoes representing "Jack of the Lantern," or jack-o'-lantern. When the Irish brought their customs to the United States, they carved faces on pumpkins because in the autumn they were more plentiful than turnips. Today jack-o'-lanterns in the windows of a house on Halloween night let costumed children know that there are goodies waiting if they knock and say "Trick or Treat!
